1. Who we are

BAOZAO is published by TJ NOVA LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17308318), registered office 124-128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom.

2. What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, receive, store or transmit any personal data from this app. Specifically we do not collect: your name, email, phone number, contacts, location, device identifiers, advertising IDs, usage analytics, crash reports, or any content you create in the app.

There is no account, no login and no registration, so nothing that reaches us can be tied back to a person. The optional features listed in section 5 are the only things that send anything at all, and none of them builds a profile of you.

3. What stays on your device

The following are written only to your device's local browser storage and never leave it:

• Chat messages you exchange with the in-app characters — unless you switch on AI Companion Chat (a PRO feature, off by default), in which case the messages you send while it is on are transmitted for processing. See section 5.
• Journal entries and mood marks
• The grudge list (names and events you write down)
• Your profile: nickname, gender, region, signature, anger level, and an avatar image if you choose one
• Counters such as wooden-fish taps and game scores
• Your optional 4-digit privacy lock

If you set a photo as your avatar, the image is resized inside your device and stored locally as data. It is never uploaded.

4. Third parties

The app contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no crash reporting service, no social login, and no tracking pixels. We do not sell or share your data, and we build no profile of you. The single exception to “we never see it” is AI Companion Chat, described in section 5: while you have that feature switched on, the messages you send pass through our endpoint to a language-model provider in order to produce a reply. We do not retain them.

5. Network usage

Five cases, stated plainly:

• Loading the app. The first time you open it (and when a new version is published) your device downloads the app files from www.baozao.cc, which is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web request, your IP address is visible to the hosting provider in its standard server logs. We do not add analytics to those pages and we do not build profiles from them.
• Interface translation, only if your device language needs it. The app is written in Chinese and ships with ready-made translations for several languages. If your device is set to a language we do not ship a file for, the app sends its own interface text — button labels, menu names, the character's built-in phrases — to our translation endpoint at base.t-j.store, which we operate ourselves, and stores the result on your device so it is not asked again. What you write is never part of that. Chat messages, diary entries and grudge notes are explicitly excluded from the translation pass, and an automated test in our build process checks that exclusion on every release. If your device language is Chinese, or one of the languages we ship, the app makes no outbound request at all.
• AI Companion Chat — only if you switch it on. This is a paid (PRO) feature and it is off by default. The first time you enable it, the app shows you a plain-language notice and you have to accept it. While it is on, the messages you type in a chat — and up to the last twelve turns of that conversation, so the reply makes sense — are sent to our endpoint and then to a third-party large language model that generates the reply. We do not store those messages, and because the app has no account we cannot tell who sent them: the only identifier attached is a one-way hash of your Google Play purchase token, used to check that the feature was paid for and to count daily usage. Switching the feature off stops this immediately and chat goes back to the built-in offline replies. Your diary, grudge list and profile are never sent, whether the feature is on or off.
• Verifying a purchase. If you buy PRO, the purchase token issued by Google Play is sent to our endpoint so we can confirm the purchase with Google and acknowledge it. That token says a purchase happened; it does not identify you to us.
• Offline afterwards. Every other feature works with no connection, and nothing stops working without it.

6. Children

This app contains frequent strong language and is intended for adults. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

7. Your rights and your data

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or erase on your behalf. You are in full control:

• Export: Me → Backup & Restore → Export creates a file you keep.
• Delete everything: Me → Clear all data, or simply uninstall the app.

Uninstalling the app deletes all of it. There is no cloud copy to recover, by design.

8. Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. If we ever begin collecting data (we have no plan to), we will say so here before it happens.
